We’re excited to announce the 6th Pacific Paddling Symposium

May 25-27, 2018

The Symposium will be hosted at the beautiful seaside village campus of the Lester B. Pearson United World College, set on the wooded shores of the Pacific Ocean. We call it ‘kayak kamp’ for adults where everyone has the opportunity to connect, learn and play! The location provides easy access to diverse paddling environments, from the protected waters of Pedder Bay to the challenging tidal currents of Race Passage.

Our Symposium is suitable for experienced kayakers who have already gone though basic strokes and rescues training. A Paddle Canada Level Introduction to Kayaking Skills or equivalent experience is desirable. The variety of locations and sessions will provide all paddlers an opportunity to challenge themselves and have some fun.

Pearson College is located on the west coast of Canada at the southern-most tip of Vancouver Island, 29 km west of the city of Victoria.

We’re eager to have you attend and support our Symposium. We look forward to gathering our paddling friends and showcasing the Pacific Northwest!
